I received my B.S in Animal Sciences in 1982, at Western Kentucky University. I then received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1989 at Auburn University. I have 30 years of clinical experience, which includes 19 years of owning my own clinic in small animal medicine, 6 years as primary veterinarian at Ellicott City Veterinary Clinic, 5 years at a Veterinary Medical Center in Easton, MD, 1 year at Cook Animal Hospital in Lebanon, KY, as well as practicing on the Eastern shore and Kentucky.
My special interests include dermatology and oncology. I am a winner of the Hills Science Diet Nutrition Award, a regular contributor to newspaper columns on veterinary issues, a volunteer with Howard County Animal Welfare Society Clinic and a loving pet owner of my rescued Yorkie, Cinnci, and my cat, Screamer.
