5 Things Your Cats May Do When Your Not At Home

You would be shocked when you learn of the many things which your cat does when you are not at home. These very smart feline creatures do observe some of the things we do while we are at home. As soon as we step out of the house, they turn from being the quiet pet which we know them to be into being prankish and all over the place. The following are 5 things cats do when you are not at home.

1. Hide Your Stockings: You do not need to wonder so much why you fail to find a sock. This is one of the pranks played by cats when you leave your home. They consider it a joke to hide it somewhere in the home. Of course if by chance you stumble upon it later on, your cat would simply act equally shocked to find your sock where it is.

2. Play With Your Clothes: Do not ask how this happens. the most important thing is that the moment you leave your home, your cat brings down your clothes from the hangar and has the time of its life rolling over them. With them being in control of your home, there is no one to stop them. After having enjoyed themselves to the last bit, they simply hang the clothes back at the exact spot where it originally was. This explains why you may not have noticed.

3. Watch Your Favorite TV Shows Before You Do: Your cat simply does it just to feel smug that it already knows what you watch in suspense. Being smart creatures, they observe us and learn the TV Shows which interests us much. They also learn how to operate the TV and the DVR. It would simply watch the shows which you load up on the DVR. When you now watch it later at your free time, your cat would simply observe you with an air of superiority that it already knows what you are about to find out.

4. Shred Toilet Paper: If you are aware that cats love to scratch, then it would not be any wonder to you when you learn that your cat plays with your toilet paper when you are not at home. This is especially so when you have a brand new roll. Besides seeing it as a brand new toy to play with, your cat may roll it from room to room creating its own version of a red carper, or better still – a white carpet.

5. Damage Your Couch: This still falls under the category of the love of a cat to scratch. With you not being at home, your cat finds itself sitting on your comfortable couch. Out of mischief or its inability to control its itch to scratch, your cat ends up destroying your couch. The best way to prevent this is to train your cat against doing this as well as providing it with a scratching post where it can scratch all it wants.

They may sound funny and perhaps incredible to be true but these are the 5 things cats do when you are not at home.
